Nerdnalist Kickstarter
It's always been a dream of mine to write and talk for something I'm passionate about. I am working on a novel (very slow going lately), but I don't see that being something that I could maybe, someday, support my family through. However, I might have found something.
Finding a community of people who are passionate about at least some of the things that are important to me has also been a dream since the Vagrant Cafe shut down. The team at Nerdnalist love a lot of the same things I love, and they smile indulgently when I go off on a tangent that isn't their specific area of passion. That makes me happy. I can write about pretty much anything that comes to mind and as long as it's coherent, interesting to the readership and well-formed, I can post it to a much wider audience than I have here.
So, having said all that, our website is a simple "Blogger" setup at the moment. We're working very hard to change that. We've got grand ideas and are asking for the grand means to go with them. In return, I and several other nerds can write and comment on things that are important to us.
Nerds, if you're tired of sites with vested interest in the games and movies you love, if those areas of affect don't affect you, but you still self-identify as a nerd, or if you simply want to help out a fellow nerd who loves her nerd culture, check us out.
Writers. If you want to help us get a place where writers like me can build on their dreams and be journalists and commentators and editors, you could check us out, too. We're reaching out, and hoping here, and any little bit, or any sharing and mention is a blessing.
